Privacy Policy

What data is handled – and where it is stored

• Trips, budgets, expenses, photos and itineraries are stored locally on your device and – if you are signed in to iCloud – in your own private iCloud database (Apple's CloudKit). The developer has no access to that data and cannot read it.
• Shared trips are stored in a shared iCloud database that only you and the people you have invited can read and change. You can remove participants or stop sharing at any time.
• Location is used on-device only: to show where you are on the map, check off passed stops, keep the itinerary's times up to date in drive mode and show which country you are in. Your location is never sent to the developer or any third party, and is not stored as history.
• Camera and photos are only used to photograph receipts and purchases that you choose to attach to an expense. The photos are stored with the expense (on your device / in your iCloud). If you share the trip, the photos – along with tickets and lists – are visible to the people you share it with; they are never sent to the developer.
• The name you can enter under Edit Trip is stored on your device and is only shown to the people you share the trip with.

What the app does NOT do

• No collection of personal data by the developer.
• No tracking, no advertising and no analytics tools.
• No third-party services that receive your data. Beyond Apple's own services (iCloud/CloudKit, Apple Maps, on-device notifications), the app fetches the day's exchange rates from the European Central Bank's public file – the request carries no information about you. If you paste in a map link yourself (Google Maps or Apple Maps), the place is looked up by that link's service, and the Navigate/Share location buttons open the map app you have chosen.
• No accounts or registration – the app works without logging in.

Maps and searches

Map and place searches (e.g. fuel stations along the route) are performed via Apple Maps (MapKit). Such requests are handled by Apple in accordance with Apple's privacy policy.

Notifications

All notifications are created on the device: passed stops and borders in drive mode, ferry departures, the evening summary and changes to shared trips. No notification goes through the developer's servers, and you choose yourself which ones you want.

Deleting your data

All data is deleted by deleting trips in the app or uninstalling the app. Data in iCloud is deleted via the app (delete the trip) or by removing the app's iCloud data in Settings → Apple ID → iCloud → Manage Storage.
